Born in Winchester, IN, Loretta moved to Muncie when she was 2 years old. She married her high school sweetheart and moved to Albuquerque, NM where he was stationed in the Army. Soon after returning to Muncie, Loretta found herself divorced with two small girls. In need of a job, Loretta was hired on at the Ball Corporation as an hourly worker on the night shift. From there she worked her way up through various positions in the company all the way to Purchasing Manager.
Currently, Loretta serves as the Executive Director of the Soup Kitchen of Muncie. The organization is a non-profit, non-sectarian soup kitchen that serves those in need of food in Muncie and Delaware County. The Soup Kitchen of Muncie services all who are hungry with dignity and respect. Each guest receives a hot meal and a sack dinner. With your help, they estimate to serve appoximately 71,000 meals in 2020.
